The Big Bend Regional Hospital District is now accepting applications for a full-time Patient Advocate position at our office in Alpine, Texas.
The Patient Advocate will assist clients with enrollment in state/local assistance programs and other health initiatives. Job requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in English and Spanish, excellent communication skills with clients and the community, solid grasp of how state and federally funded benefits programs work, two years experience in social services, customer service, case management, or other field-related experience. Monthly travel in a company-provided vehicle is required to our Presidio office and for outreach in areas of Presidio and Brewster County. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include: health insurance, generous PTO and paid holiday schedule, and retirement contributions.
